Full gut renovation of a young family home. YR Studio modernized the architecture, while still respecting the modern mid-century original feel. We tackled the permits, and designed the new architectural changes, interior design, lighting, cabinets, and created the custom murals. 

This downtown condo renovation was done in a historical building. We had to tackle old plaster walls and wanted be respectful to the original architecture. Wood paneling was added to accentuate hallways, built-ins provided organization and beautiful wood work, elegant lighting was added throughout, and in some spots we were able to elevate the ceiling and add arched details to passageways.

YR Studio was hired to redesign all the guestrooms for this special boutique hotel deeply rooted in the Ames history and Iowa State University. Room layouts, design, and all materials were selected to respect the history of the place, and we were commissioned to produce the art that will go on the walls.
