The Full Story
YR Studio LLC., led by Yael Rajstein, is a design and build studio specializing in high-end residential architecture and interior design in the Chicago area. Yael is a designer with a Masters in Architecture from Washington University in Saint Louis and over fifteen years of architecture and design experience in residential and commercial design, with an emphasis on the luxury and high-end residential and hospitality projects.
Yael’s knowledge of architecture, design, and art gathered from having worked for prominent Chicago architecture firms, life experiences and travels around the world adds dimension to her work. In 2009 while working at a large architecture firm, Yael opened YR Studio as an art studio selling her art work and working for commissions. Her art has been displayed in Chicago, Boston and Israel, and has been sold at auctions. In 2011 Yael followed her passion and dedication for design and opened her own design firm. It is now a full design service firm, focused mainly on residential design and includes all aspects of design from spatial drafting and tile layouts, to furniture design and construction management.
Yael is also passionate about playing the classical flute for the past 30 years. You can find her performing at her local community. She is grateful for her two children who inspire her every day.

It is crucial to understand all the steps of the construction process from the details of the design, to the workers or manufacturers, to the architects. Yael makes sure everyone is on the same page and that creates faster, better results and the best communication. No detail is overlooked to guarantee remarkable spaces.
